1)  What do you consider your worst BJJ moment, and why? 

A couple years ago when I was a blue belt, I fought 4 Abu Dhabi  trials in a row and I lost them all. My mind was broken and I didn't want to compete anymore, but my coaches, family and friends gave me a lot of support and I came back and won my first Abu Dhabi trial as a Purple belt.

2)  What’s an “AHA!” moment you’ve had in your journey?

When I first moved from my parents' to Rio de Janeiro to train and compete, I saw how some professionals BJJ fighters train and eat, I had the ''AHA' in my mind and I told myself that's how I have to do to became a champion plus always trying to be a good person, treat people good, do good things because all what you do is going to reflect directly on your life.

3)  What’s the best jiu-jitsu advice you’ve ever received?

2 pieces of advice from my 2 mentors, prof. Jair lourenço -- one time he told me the feeling '' I want to get ready'' needs to be stronger then the feeling'' I want to win'' and one time prof. Gustavo Dantas  told everytime before I fight I need to focus on my performance, doesn't matter if I win or lose my true friends are going to be there to support me no matter what.

4)  What is one habit you have that you believe has contributed to your success?

I always like to stay longer after practice drilling or stretching, I believe that's helped me a lot with my BJJ.

5)  How do you mentally and physically prepare for competition? 

Before I fight I always like to hangout by myself trying to think about strategy and imagining my self on the day of the competition warming up, fighting, resting, eating, winning--so when I'm in the tournament it feels like I already had that moment and I can control myself. Physically, I train BJJ 2 times per day, Monday to Friday and I work out 3 times a week.

6)  Who is your favorite superhero?

Not real: Spider man
